Pioneers dedicate their season to Chuck Heeter

At last nights match versus Elizabethtown, after the Wrestlers warmed up, Coach Morgan took to the microphone…

‘Good evening everyone.  Before the match starts we wanted to take a moment this evening to show our support for our head coach Brad Heeter.  Whether you were aware or not it has been a difficult year for him and his family as he has just recently lost his father.  Brad and his father were very close and enjoyed a love for hunting and the outdoors.  On a personal level through coaching the past ten years together with Brad, he has shared several stories involving his father and their times spent together.  In addition to that, Brad’s father Chuck was an avid wrestling fan and supported L-S Wrestling on numerous occasions.  Every year over the holidays Brad’s parents would travel and support our team at whatever holiday tournament we were at.  Since we won’t have him sitting in the stands this year we wanted to take a moment to recognize him tonight.  With that said, Brad, we as a team and program have decided to dedicate this season to your father.  We know he is watching over you and your family each and every day.  We hope this small token presented by our team brings happiness to you and your family during this time.’
