Head Coach Brad Heeter

Coach Brad Heeter, in his 12th season as head wrestling coach at Lampeter-Strasburg is committed to continuing the tradition of excellence established by his predecessors. Currently, coach Heeter is in his 16th year as a Health and Physical Education teacher at Martin Meylin Middle School. Coach Heeter, a native of Sigel, Pennsylvania wrestled and graduated from Brookville Area High School in 1995. He continued his education and wrestling career at Slippery Rock University. While at SRU, he earned two degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education. He also worked as an intern for the NFL Pittsburgh Steelers Strength and Conditioning Program.

In 2005, Coach Heeter earned his Masters of Education from Wilkes University. As a competitor for the “Rock,” Coach Heeter was a four-year starter and team captain. As a senior, he earned all-conference honors, won an Eastern Regional Championship, and was a participant in the 2000 Division I National Championships held in St. Louis Missouri.

Off the mat, Coach Heeter’s home team and biggest supporters are wife Nedra, a 1995 Lampeter-Strasburg graduate, and future Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers Jackson, Mason and Jemacyn.

Coach Derrick Morgan

Coach Derrick Morgan is in his 9th season as a part of the Lampeter-Strasburg wrestling program.  He is looking forward to building on the efforts made throughout last year and continuing the climb in getting L-S back on top in the L-L League. Coach Morgan is also in his 8th year as a Health and Physical Education teacher at Lampeter-Strasburg High School.

Coach Morgan, originally from Milan, PA, was a former Pennsylvania state champion who wrestled and graduated from Athens Area High School in 2002.  Following high school, Coach Morgan continued his education and athletic career at Lock Haven University. While at LHU he earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education. He also earned a master degree in Sport Management at Millersville University. As a competitor for “Mattown USA,” Coach Morgan was a four-year starter and team captain. As a senior, he earned all-conference honors, and was a participant in the 2006 Division I National Championships held in Oklahoma City, OK.

Coach Morgan is supported by his wife Holly, a graduate and teacher in the Penn Manor School District, and by his children and future Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers, Mya and Gavin.
